Mohammed Mana, former Plateau military administrator is dead

A former military administrator of Plateau state Brig. Gen. Mohammed Mana (rtd) is died. He was aged 75.
He died Friday evening in Abuja, two days after he was said to have been discharged from an Abuja hospital.
Abdurrahman Kwaccham, a member of the deceased’s family confirmed the death to Daily Trust.
Kwaccham said Mana will be buried on Saturday by 2pm after funeral prayers at the National Mosque, Abuja.
After his retirement from the military, Mana joined politics and was elected senator representing Adamawa North senatorial district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2007 and 2011.
He served as the military administrator of Plateau State between December 1993 and August 1996, during the administration of the late head of state, Gen Sani Abacha.
He later became commander of the presidential guard brigade during the administration of Gen. Abdussalami Abubakar (rtd).
Mana attended the famous Government College, Keffi, Ahmadu Bello University, the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), among others.
He also held several positions during his military career.
