Northern APC forum endorses Mohammad Kailani for national chairman

A northern support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed Kailani Mohammad for appointment as the National Chairman of the party.
The position of the National Chairman became vacant following the recent resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje.
Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, Awwal Aliyu, Chairman of the forum, described Mohammad as a transformative leader capable of restoring unity and direction within the ruling party.
Aliyu said Mohammad’s leadership as national Chairman of the APC would mark a turning point for the party, noting his years of loyalty and grassroots engagement.
“His appointment will reinvigorate the party, re-establish lost trust, and reinforce both vertical and horizontal cohesion,” Aliyu said.
The forum commended Mohammad’s long-standing commitment to the APC since its formative years, stating that his leadership style, built on inclusion and results-driven strategies, would help rebuild the party’s base and restore confidence among supporters.
“Mohammad’s vast experience and leadership skills are unmatched. He has earned nationwide respect through his ability to bring people together and empower grassroots activists, “the group added.
Aliyu called on President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership to consider Mohammad for the position, emphasizing that appointing him would reflect the party’s preference to merit, competence, and inclusivity
“Muhammad understands the sacrifices of our volunteers and has never wavered in his support. He is a visionary with a proven record of success.
