One person was reportedly killed while 19 others were abducted by bandits in Angwanwaku community, Kufana Chiefdom of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Tanimu Makaddas, Secretary of the Chiefdom, said the incident occurred around 12:30 am on Saturday when the criminals invaded the community, adding that most of those abducted were women.
Makaddas said one Kukah Yari was killed, while Abuki Dogo was injured during the attack.
According to him, those kidnapped to include, Yakubu Abba, Basiru Maiwada, Keziya Silas, Peace Silas, Lami Istifanus, Habila Musa, Bege Liazarus, Joshua Abuki, Juliana Habila, Stella Yohanna.
He said others include, Genesis Ezikiel, Deborah Ezikiel, Salomi Dutse, Rifkatu Zaphaniah, Tamar Liazarus, Ejah Habila, Rejoice Ezikeil, Catharine Silas, and Gundu Rubu.
Mansir Hassan, acting spokesperson of the Kaduna State police command did not respond to telephone calls when contacted.
